There are a handful of actions you can take right now but over the course of the next two years, we'll be inviting you to do a little bit more. Nothing too strenuous but enough to ensure the people who can make change happen know that we won't let up until they do.
1. Sign up
The Central African Republic (CAR) needs at least 7,000 more health workers right now. We want to get 7,000 people from all over the world to put their hands up for CAR, for health workers, for essential health care.
We're asking famous names to get involved too so you'll be in good company. Put your hand up at the top of this page to show your support.
2. Donate to help Merlin train more health workers
Merlin trains health workers in all our country programmes – it's one of the surest ways to ensure we make a lasting difference. For example, just £25 can pay for a three-day training course for health workers in CAR. These courses focus on disease prevention and run in areas where there is a skills shortage.
No matter what amount you give today, we'll make sure it makes a difference.
3. Join Arsène's Facebook group
You've read about him, you've seen how much he does every day, you've seen how little he's paid. Show your support for Arsène by becoming his friend on Facebook. He'll be uploading new pictures and information over the coming months so you'll get to find out more about him, his family and his work colleagues too.
